Voting starts for Michele Gumabao for Miss Globe 2018

MANILA, Philippines — Online voting has started for this year’s Miss Globe international pageant.

For those who wish to vote for Philippines’ representative, Michele Gumabao, they can log in to TheMissGlobe.com/Participants2018.

Winning in the online poll can increase Gumabao’s chances of taking home the crown and follow the success of Ann Colis, who won the title for the Philippines in 2015. Last year’s bet, Nelda Ibe, came close to doing that when she emerged first runner-up in the competition.

Gumabao, one of the country’s volleyball stars, will be the first among the Binibini queens to compete for the international title on October 21 in Tirana, Albania.

Besides being the daughter of actor Dennis Roldan, Michele is also an entrepreneur and founder of the Michele Gumabao Volleyball Camp in 2012, where she trains 80 to 100 aspiring volleyball athletes from all over the country annually.

According to her, she started the camp “for kids who want to experience competitive volleyball that they don’t get to experience every day.” — Videos by Erwin Cagadas Jr.
