Robi Domingo admits dating new girl, ex Gretchen Ho reacts
MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya TV host Robi Domingo admitted that he is happily dating a non-showbiz girl.
In an interview with the media after the press conference of his new reality contest “The Kids’ Choice,” in which he is the host, Robi said that while he confessed to be in a relationship, he wishes to keep it far from public scrutiny.
“Kung ano man ang nangyayari ngayon, I really hope na I have to keep it private kasi non-showbiz. She’s not a public figure and very private ‘yung family niya,” he shared.
Robi, along with Eric Nicolas, host the new TV show, “The Kids’ Choice,” an original concept that features for the first time a panel of celebrity child stars called The Just Kids League, who will critique talented non-celebrity families called “Fam-bato.”
Viewers’ weekend family bonding will get more fun and exciting as “The Kids’ Choice,” ABS-CBN’s newest talent-reality competition, gives the power to five young celebrities Xia Vigor, Onyok Pineda, Carlo Mendoza, Chunsa Jung and Jayden Villegas to judge the performances of the contestants beginning on September 1.
When asked if Robi hopes his current girlfriend would be “the one,” Robi said: “Whenever I enter into a relationship hopefully ayon na. Hindi naman ako pupunta sa isang relasyon kung maglalaro lang ako.”
The “MYX” VJ and “ASAP” host also opened up about experiencing anxiety attacks last year, and he thinks those might have stemmed from his breakup with another Kapamilya TV host, Gretchen Ho.
“Maybe because of the break up, maybe because you question yourself,” he said.
He said that thanks to his family, friends, and newfound love, he is able transform his negative energies into positive ones.
In an interview with Philstar.com during her and Robi’s launch of OPPO’s new F9 smartphone, Gretchen said that she is happy Robi has moved on.
“I’m really, really, genuinely happy for him. We all deserve to be happy,” she enthused.
Although Gretchen is single nowadays, she ensured that she is also happy with her life right now.
