MANILA, Philippines — Now that his teleserye “Since I Found You” is in its last week, Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual can now focus more on his movie based on the Marawi siege.

In an interview with the media during the teleserye’s thanksgiving, Piolo said that being a producer and acting in the war movie “Children of the Lake” is not that easy.

“Mahirap kasi first time kong gagawin ‘yung ganoong kalaking proyekto, not just as a producer but also as an actor, so ninanamnam ko muna ‘tong ‘Since I Found You’ because right away diretso ko ng Marawi to do immersion already.”

The heartthrob elaborated what kind of immersion will happen in Marawi. “Training kami sa AFP, training kami sa battlefield, simulation, firing, tapos ‘yung teamwork, so dadalin namin don immersion din with a buddy na talagang soldier, para talagang full immersion how to go into battle,” he said.

Piolo also revealed that the movie’s cast is now complete and they already had a story conference. Joining Piolo in the cast are Robin Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Jasmin Curtis, Ronnie Lazaro, Ronnie Quizon, and Sid Lucero, to name a few.

“Yes, we've been complete and we have a story con already, so we are looking forward to go in kahit na nakaka-tense, there's so much unrest happening in the south. We're doing this not for ourselves, it is an advocacy. We're not doing it to promote whatever you want, but to ask for support from the people to look into something na nangayayari in our midst; for us to be more aware on what we can do as Filipinos,” he enthused.
