MANILA, Philippines — Kris Aquino was in character as Princess Intan as she attended the Hollywood red carpet premiere of her international flick "Crazy Rich Asians."

Alongside her red carpet photos for the movie's Hollywood premiere,  the actress and multimedia personality divulged that she is playing Princess Intan, a snobbish Malay royalty "who refuses to speak with anyone," according to a description by Teen Vogue.

@teenvogue & @imdb revealed in the get to know the @crazyrichasians CAST that i portray Princess Intan; i shall try to always be 100% honest & transparent because you are part of my life’s journey... dry heat is bad & precipitation here in LA is now at 0%. Hives on my arms are out in full force even if i stayed put indoors... i shall just pray & have #FAITH. Took my medication & had my diphenhydramine shot, put Fucidin on the hives because some of them ruptured & bled out... tomorrow my doctor will give me low dose steroids w/ my anti allergy medication. In this instance- it is really in God’s hands to HEAL me enough- but i need to do my part & totally REST this weekend. 5 AM here, adjusting to the 15 hour time difference. Waiting for my BP to stabilize before i sleep. Because sya yung unang nakapansin, even @rbchanco nag rashes na rin all over sa tension... my friends @iamgarygarcia & Veronica who is a registered nurse rushed over... naawa ako to wake up my doctor since for sure later he’ll be the 1 super monitoring... We told RB, RCA na sya talaga, adopted family member na namin- 1st in ???????? sya yung nagbantay w/ me kay kuya josh when he had his 48 hours bad acid reflux attack & now sya ang naka bantay sa kin since we let Bincai rest because sumobra na rin ang nonstop stress nya w/ me from ???????? now to the ????????. #prayers #healing #thywillbedone ????

In the movie, Kris can be seen wearing a yellow Michael Cinco creation while sharing a scene with one of the lead stars, Constance Wu.

On her Instagram account, Kris said that for the red carpet premiere, she had five gowns to choose from among the creations of Filipino designers Francis Libiran and Michael Leyva.

In the end, she walked the red carpet wearing a bright yellow ensemble by Leyva. The gown, with a plunging neckline and a sequined huge bow belt, was accentuated with a custom-made jewelry.

Kris’s makeup was by her personal makeup artist, RB Chanco, who recently released a makeup book. The actress’ hair, meanwhile, is by Los Angeles-based celebrity hairstylist Pin Antonio.

Kris was escorted by her son, Bimby, who wore a Barong Tagalog.

“This was the reason we made the effort to be here.... it is my honor to proudly represent the Philippines. Maraming salamat po sa effort nyo to show your love & support! #kaysarapmagingpilipino,” the actress said in a post.
