Sexy Talk with Bela Padilla & JC Santos, stars of Viva Films’ The Day After Valentine’s

They broke the hearts of the romantic when they didn’t end up happily ever after in Viva Films’ 100 Tula Para Kay Stella, probably the loveliest entry of last year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP), directed by Jason Paul Laxamana.

A feel-good outing deserves a second wind. Bela Padilla and JC Santos are together again in The Day After Valentine’s, also from Viva and again directed by Laxamana for the 2018 PPP, opening nationwide next Wednesday, Aug. 15. Graded A by CEB (Cinema Evaluation Board), the movie is rated PG (Parental Guidance) by the MTRCB.

The joke is that the Valentine’s Day itself is (should be!) devoted to the legal wife and “the other one” willingly settles for “the day before” or “the day after.”

In The Day After Valentine’s, JC plays Kai, a distraught man who meets Lani (Bela), a strong and confident woman who seems to have answers to all of life’s difficult questions. Will the movie sort out the unresolved issue left hanging by Bela and JC’s characters in their first movie?
