Martin Nievera asks Harry Roque SONA questions

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya host and singer Martin Nievera was in the press briefing of Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque Jr. in Malacañang and asked Roque about his job.

In a video posted on Twitter by The Philippine Star reporter Alexis Romero, Martin was seen asking questions to the presidential spokesman.

“How important is the press?” Martin asked Roque, who then answered, “Very important. It is important to deliver the message to the people. The message of the president will be delivered to the people through them."

Regarding Martin’s question on what is Roque’s advice to Pres. Rodrigo Duterte when he speaks in Monday’s State of the Nation Address, Roque said, “Just stick with the script.”

“Although I promised him that I will help look for better speech writers who will actually write speeches that he will actually read,” Roque laughed.

As an ABS-CBN star for a long time, Martin asked the spokesman which TV channel asks the best question, to which Roque replied: “All of them, in fairness.”

In the end, the veteran singer thanked the presidential spokesman and said that the questions are for his new show on the ABS-CBN News Channel.
