Marlon Stockinger: Pia Wurtzbach is ‘wife material’

MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and racer Marlon Stockinger are not yet ready to tie the knot anytime soon.

In an interview with the media during the BlueWater Day Spa event where they were recently introduced as the new ambassadors, the couple said they are not rushing things.

“Not in the near future, no. We’re not there yet. I still feel like we want to achieve a lot individually. Marami pa kaming plano individually. Marami pa kaming gustong ma-achieve, ako sa career ko and siya sa racing career niya," Pia said.

The first Filipino to win a formula race in Europe agreed with his girlfriend, although he stressed that the beauty queen is a “wife material.”

“For me, honestly, like in our relationship, it’s working well. We’re working together. We're very happy. I think we’re just gonna focus on our careers, support each other. And you know, somewhere down the road, that might come along,” Marlon said.

Though rocked by intrigues, the couple said they remain strong. The pair, however, remains mum on the rumored misunderstanding with Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo and Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson wherein Bea unfollowed Pia and Gerald on Instagram during the showing of “My Perfect You,” where Pia co-starred with Gerald.  

When they have their own misunderstanding, Pia said that Marlon usually makes the first move to apologize. “Sometimes I do, but I just say ‘Sorry’,” Miss Universe 2015 said.

For Marlon, he just wants to cherish every single moment with the person he loves.

“I think that's just it. Being able to end and start the day with her, those are the nicest moments to have; being with the person to share a lot of moments with and just being able to see her every day. It’s almost a year and a half, it might seems long for some, but it feels so fresh and nice and I’m just happy at this point we also work together,” Marlon said.

The couple makes it a point to spend their time together at the spa to de-stress and pamper themselves.
