In a tweet by ABS-CBN showbiz reporter MJ Felipe, Atty. Arnold Labay said in a press statement that due to Ellen’s absence, the hearing will be moved to June 11.
"Hearing was reset to June 11 due to the absence of Ms. Ellen. Santos family would just await for the Child Abuse and Cybercrime cases to take its due course," the legal counsel of the Santos family said.
The parents filed the cases against Ellen since the actress failed to issue a public apology after she accused the teenager of being a paparazzi. Ellen is facing a violation of RA 7610 or Anti-Child Abuse Law and RA 10175 or Anti-Cybercrime Law.
The teenager denied Ellen’s allegations, but the actress reiterated that the teen was recording a video of her and boyfriend John Lloyd in a certain restaurant.
