MANILA, Philippines — Musician Ebe Dancel sympathizes with Sarah Geronimo on what happened to the singer during her Las Vegas concert where she recently broke down.

In an interview with Ebe for his digital concert “Atin Ang Gabi,” the man behind the song “Burnout” said that when he learned about the news, he was also monitoring Twitter.

“Actually ‘nong nabasa ko yung article na ‘yun, I happen to be on Twitter that night. I felt bad. I still do. She has people around her who will take care of her. Sarah, I wish you well. Rest, my friend,” Ebe said.

“She’s human after all. Like all of us, we have respective jobs. Sometimes we get tired. I can only imagine what her schedule is like, jumping from one country to the next, doing movies, recording songs, appearing on commercials. Like I said, she deserves everything that she has now,” he added.

Ebe and Sarah met on the set of “The Breakup Playlist,” the movie of the “Pop Princess” with Piolo Pascual. While shooting for the film, Ebe promised to write a song for Sarah.

“Yes. I’m such a huge fan. That woman can do whatever she wants to do. Iba kasi talaga kung mabait ang isang tao bibiyayaan talaga ng Diyos eh. Whatever she has now, she really deserved it. I’m really happy for her, I pray for her,” Ebe said.

He will hold his first-ever digital concert, which will be streamed worldwide on ABS-CBN’s music portal One Music PH on Mother’s Day, May 13.

His digital concert will also feature guest stars such as Barbie Almalbis, Ben&Ben and the string orchestra ensemble Manila String Machine. The show will be opened by One Music artist and alternative rock band Unit 406.

The show will be available online to fans on the One Music PH website also on May 13 at 7 p.m.

Likewise, Dancel will team up with Bullet Dumas and Johnoy Danao for the concert “Iisa” at the Kia Theater on June 9.
