MANILA, Philippines — In a recent interview for her latest movie, “Kasal,” Bea Alonzo confirmed that she and rumored boyfriend Gerald Anderson are no longer a couple.

“Hindi sa ngayon,” Bea told ABS-CBN when asked if she and Gerald are still together.

When asked if she is single, she declared: “Technically.”

She, however, noted that she and Gerald are still talking to each other and are “okay.”

The pair was seen together in public a few days before Bea’s confession.

The actress did not give a reason for the supposed cool-off, but according to speculations, it has something to do with Gerald’s rumored involvement with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Shortly after the release of Gerald and Pia’s romance-comedy “My Perfect You,” Bea “unfollowed” and deleted Gerald and Pia’s pictures on her Instagram.

A few days after the unfollowing, Bea again began following Gerald. Gerald, meanwhile, told reporters, including Philstar.com that everything was well between him and Bea.

In a recent “Magandang Buhay” episode where Bea was a guest, she read a note from Gerald that said: “I will always be your fan and you will always be my teenage crush. Love, Gerald.”

In response, Bea told Gerald: “In fairness mapadala siya ng bulaklak at ma-note. Thank you, thank you sa letter and thank you for always being there.”
