MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ellen Adarna recently posted on her Instagram story a video and a photo of a teenage couple who she said were capturing photos of her and boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz.

Hours after the post, the teenage girl clarified on her Twitter account that she was just trying to capture a video of the food for her Instagram story and she does not know who Ellen was.

The next day, Ellen retaliated on her Instagram story, saying that the girl really took photos and videos of them.

The mother of the suspected teenager “paparazzi” of Ellen wrote on her Facebook page how she and her daughter were deeply hurt after the actress uploaded a video on her Instagram story without a consent. The mother said they now seek legal assistance against the actress.

The mother, Myra Santos, asks Ellen to publicly apologize to her daughter and pointed out that as much as no one has the right to breach Ellen’s privacy, John Lloyd’s partner also allegedly has no right to ruin the reputation of Myra’s daughter.

“My lawyer indicates that you will have five days to reply to this letter. Should you fail or refuse to do so, we will not hesitate to take the appropriate legal actions necessary under the circumstances, to protect and uphold the best interest and welfare of our 17 year old,” the mother wrote.

In her post, she narrated that her daughter only knew about being the subject of the Cebuana actress’ IG story through friends. She added that her daughter was matured enough to write privately to the actress and explain that she did not intend to stalk the actress and was only taking videos of her food for IG story purposes.

“We initially took it lightly, thinking things would be resolved quickly and the 30-year old you would give the two minors the benefit of the doubt. Even her aunt wrote a private message to you, and mentioned she is a minor. However, we did not hear anything from you,” the mother of the 17-year-old said.

Myra wrote another post addressed to Ellen. It said: “a one sided narrative and insisted on erroneous and unfounded accusations again on Instagram.”

“You have claimed my daughter is guilty, rude, and has been repeatedly insinuating my daughter is lying. You even said that you can handle bashers and hope my child could, too. I want to tell you that she is not like you, she never needed to. She is a private individual who has not even turned 18. As a celebrity, we would have thought you would understand the value of privacy.”

The mother also alleged that Ellen does not want an explanation and she only wants to defame her daughter publicly.

“My daughter, even though was not in the wrong, immediately reached out to you via an IG about the misunderstanding. She is my only living child. She is just 17 years old. The only good thing about this is I found out how strong and formidable she is; and how happy I am of how she turned out to be – a genuine person who can stand her ground. Now it is my turn to protect her, just as how our state protects its children.”
