Julie Anne on ‘Stage 1’ with Benjamin

Like showbiz couples who hide behind “safe” answers, Julie Anne San Jose claims that she and Benjamin Alves are “still getting to know each other,” even as, according to rumors, Benjamin is trying hard to soften the hearts of Julie Anne’s parents who…frown against their “special friendship?”

Does the song, Can’t Stop the Feeling, eloquently express what’s in her heart?

“That’s the song that makes me happy,” Julie Anne told Funfare.

And what song makes her cry?

“I think the most heart-breaking song I’ve ever heard was Jealous by Labrinth. Noong una ko siyang narinig, nakakaiyak na agad.”

If and when she and whoever wins her heart (could be Benjamin or somebody else) get married, to what song will she want to march down the aisle to?

“Ikaw by Ate Regine (Velasquez),” quipped Julie Anne (who performed with Regine and Christian Bautista at the 3 Stars, 1 Heart concert in Cebu over the weekend).

All those songs should be included in the repertoire of Julie Anne’s solo concert #Julie (directed by Marvin Caldito) tomorrow, Jan. 27, at the Music Museum.

Asked what to expect in her concert, Julie Anne (a regular on the GMA shows Pepito Manaloto and Sunday PinaSaya) said, “It’s going to be an intimate celebration with the people who have been with me since the beginning. This time, mas mature ito pagdating sa song choices. I will be showing the different stages of love, and the highs and lows of a relationship. I’m excited to share a part of me with the audience.”
