WATCH: Nobody lives forever in ‘Altered Carbon’

MANILA, Philippines — Netflix just released the official trailer of its original series “Altered Carbon “ Season 1.
No body lives forever not even in the death-defying world of “Altered Carbon,” where immortality is readily obtainable and the physical body is as disposable as a pair of shoes.
The series would be launched globally on February 2, only on Netflix.
“Altered Carbon” is based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard Morgan.
It is an intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal, set more than 300 years in the future where the society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent.
The series stars Joel Kinnaman, James Purefoy, Martha Higareda, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Will Yun Lee, and Dichen Lachman. It is from the creator and executive producer Laeta Kalogridis who wrote the scripts for Alexander, Night Watch, Pathfinder and Shutter Island, among others.
