Catriona Gray tries out for Binibining Pilipinas 2018

MANILA, Philippines — After representing the Philippines in Miss World 2016, Australian-Filipina model and title-holder Catriona Gray applied for Binibining Pilipinas 2018.

 

In an Instagram post, Catriona announced that she is now eyeing to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

 

“Today marks the reveal of an evolution of self that has been quietly happening away from the public's eye for a little while now,” Catriona wrote.

 

“It was in no way planned, but sometimes the stars align to make things happen,” she added.

 

The former Miss World bet who finished in the top five of the 2016 edition of the pageant thanked her supporters and asked for their continued support. 

 

“Maraming Salamat sa inyong tiwala at sana samahan niyo ako sa aking bagong paglalakbay,” Catriona said.

 

Miss Universe-Philippines 2010 Venus Raj also confirmed that Catriona filed an application for the prestigious local pageant which would determine the representatives to international pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Supranational and Miss Globe.
