She has a diet that consists of various kinds of cheese. And she has erased lechon from her list. Read on.

Let’s talk about your film that people are talking about, Ang Pamilyang Di Lumuluha.

“Yeees.”

You play Cora. What is this about?

“She is a woman so desperate for her town. And in that town, there is one family called Ang Pamilyang Di Lumuluha. It’s kind of mythical because it is said that whatever you do, the family can’t cry. Kahit patakan mo daw ng juice ng sibuyas sa mata, hindi makaiyak kahit gusto nila. But one day, for whatever inexplicable reason, a daughter of this family starts crying and cannot stop. And while the family is there, lahat prosperous. Lahat masaya ang buong bayan.”

Sa bayan?

“Sa bayan. Lahat ng ani sibuyas kasi yun ang ano nila. The irony di ba? ’cause sibuyas makes you cry.”

Right.

“And then, this family suddenly disappears. They go and hide because the girl can’t stop crying. Then, when this family is gone, all of a sudden, everyone is blaming you know, the drought, at wala ng ani ng sibuyas na maganda.”

Oh!

“In the case of Cora, my character, her family which used to be a happy one, nagka-watak, watak. And she was so desperate that she chose to believe that the only way to bring back her own family was to bring back Ang Pamilyang Di Lumuluha. I don’t like that she was relying on human beings. Yung kailangan ng pananampalataya. That’s what I like about the movie. You know it confirms that your faith should be in God who’s much.? Greater than you are.”

Okay. Now you’re doing a movie with (Robin Padilla).

“I am so looking forward to this movie, because I’ve done 54 movies. I have had the happiest on-set experiences with Robin.”

Let’s do Fast Talk. Ano’ng mas nakakatakot? Mag-end of the world? Mawalan ng lechon forever?

“I don’t eat pork anymore.”

Not anymore?

“Not even beef.”

What’s your favorite food now?

“Cheese.”

Cheese?

“Always. My yaya will tell you every single day for the past month, all I’ve had was queso. Just the…

Tortilla.

“Just the tortilla with cheese.”

Okay. So, anong mas nakakatakot? End of the world.

“I’m not scared of the end of the world.”

You’re not?

Oo.

Ahh okay.

“Pag nawala yung cheese. I’m  not afraid of the end of the world. I’d like to think I know where I’m going, but I want to leave the earth before it ends.”

Your last big purchase?

“A watch.”

Yes or no. Are you materialistic?

“Yeah. To a point. But, all my pagka-materyosa I take care of. I am not maintained by anyone, but myself. I don’t bother my husband with that. I work hard. And the watch I bought was a birthday gift to myself.”

Okay. Yes or no? Do you cheat on your diet?

“Yeah! All the time. That’s why it’s taking me forever.”

Yes or no? Do cheaters deserve a second chance?

“Depends on the cheater. But mostly, yes.”

Kanino ka huling nag-selos?

“Wala. Di ko maalala.”

Who is your greatest love?

“You might not know him.”

Right.

“Hahahaha!”

One word to describe your marriage to Kiko.

“Ahh… existing. Last time I slept with him was last night.”

That’s right. Okay.

“Slept. Did not...”

Hmmm.

“Do anything.”

Okay.

“And last time I checked, which is today, he was at home. So, we’re still married.”

You’re still married?

“Yeah.”

Okay. One word to describe your heart right now.

“Hehehe…”

That’s enough.

“It’s nobody’s fault.”

Oh okay.

“It’s not Kiko’s fault.”

No.

“No.”

Okay. This girl doesn’t lie.

“Yeah. My heart has been so battered over the years that now, all you have to do is to put it in real butter and fry it there.”

Okay. Yes or no? Would you ever pose in the nude?

“Yah. I’ve talked to Raymond and Jun about it.”

Talaga?

“Only for private consumption. Before everything goes out, I want to have a picture of my… I’ve worked so hard for this weight loss. My God! Yeah. At 50 something…”

Go! Go! Go!

“Yeah. I want to, but very tastefully, and by only very good friends who’ve known me, since I was a teenager.”

That’s true.

“And that’s Jun or Raymond. Just the two of them.”

We’re talking about Raymond Isaac, mga kaibigan.

“And Jun de Leon.”

And Jun de Leon. Okay, they are our friends.

“Yun lang talaga.”

Hahaha.

“Wala ng iba.”

Shawie, maraming salamat!
