Oops, she did it again: Britney Spears postpones Israeli election
MANILA, Philippines - “It’s Britney, bitch,” the caption of a British report said, announcing that Israel rescheduled a party election to give way to pop star Britney Spears’ first concert in Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park on July 3.
Israel’s Labour Party reportedly was due to vote for a new leader at the day of the concert, but decided to postpone it as there has been a difficulty recruiting security guards.
According to a party spokesperson, moving the date of suffrage will also ease the heavy traffic expected on that day and will make it easier to people to hit the polling stations.
“The election date was delayed by one day due to the fact that there is a major event at Yarkon Park on July 3, 2017,” the party’s statement reported in The Times of Israel further said.
Before Israel, Britney will perform on June 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
