WATCH: Erich, Daniel together on stage in sweet song number
MANILA, Philippines — It seems like all’s well that ends well for former lovers Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga as the Kapamilya stars were seen performing together on stage in a sweet song number.
In a video posted by talent agency Star Magic on Instagram, the love team dubbed “DanRich” performed Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and John Legend's "All of Me" before a crowd in Cache Creek Casino Resort in California.
During the song number, Daniel and Erich were comfortable staring at each other. They ended the performance by giving each other a side hug.
The Japanese Brazilian model turned actor, on the other hand, wrapped the performance by giving Erich a peck on her forehead drawing loud cheers from the audience present in the show.
This was their first public appearance after their controversial breakup.
Before flying to California for a series of shows, Star Magic released a statement that the former couple met behind closed doors to patch things up and dismissed the third party or money issue speculations. They were also all smiles in a selfie posted by handler Love Capulong.
“Nagharap kahapon sina Erich Gonzales at Daniel Matsunaga sa Star Magic office para pagusapan ang mga issues na may kinalaman sa kanilang hiwalayan. Naging maayos ang usapan nilang dalawa. Walang kinalaman ang pera o third party sa kanilang paghihiwalay,” the agency said last Thursday.
“Pakiusap nina Erich at Daniel na huwag idamay ang kanilang pamilya sa issue. Hiling rin ng dalawa ang pag-unawa at pagkakataong maayos ng pribado ang kanilang relasyon. Maraming salamat po," it added.
DanRich were together for two years before they split. However, early this month, rumors of their breakup sprung online after fans noticed Erich deleted their couple photos.
Daniel addressed the fans saying they were going through “personal things” and asked for their love and support. However, when Erich broke her silence, she denied they were in speaking terms and clarified that there was no third party involved.
