Alex Band, The Calling to stage first Manila concert in November

MANILA, Philippines — Remember when Alex Band said "If I could, then I would"? He could, and would definitely would come to Manila to perform with his band The Calling.

The lead singer of the  American rock band from California confirmed the news on his Facebook page on September 2.

The Calling,  which was formed in 1999 is best known for their hit songs "Wherever You Will Go," "Adrienne" and "Stigmatized." They released two albums before going out of scene in 2005. 

The band was reformed few years later, but with new performing members.

Following the announcement, Filipino fans were quick to react on social media.

OMG! Can a friend from Manila buy me a ticket for The Calling's concert on Nov 11? I'll send money. Tickets are not out yet. But, anyone?
