Liza Soberano says she doesn't see herself as the 'most beautiful'

MANILA, Philippines – With her angelic face and million-dollar smile, Liza Soberano is indeed hard to ignore. Even foreign artists such as Charlie Puth and The Chainsmokers can attest to that.

Just recently, Liza was hailed as “one of Philippine television's most beautiful faces today” by a lifestyle magazine. On top of that, she landed sixth in TC Candler’s “Top 100 Most Beautiful Faces,” beating the ranks of Emilia Clarke and Chloe Moretz. However, despite getting all the praises from the fans and admirers, Liza doesn't think of herself as the most beautiful.

"It's overwhelming thank you, but I don't really see myself as the most beautiful," quips the 18-year-old Kapamilya star in an interview during her launch as the newest face of Maybelline New York.

According to the young actress, to be beautiful does not just mean having a flawless skin and perfect features. For her, beauty is a word that deserves so much more than to be used in describing one's physical appearance only.

In a sit down interview with Boy Abunda, Liza clarified that although she is very flattered to receive many compliments, she doesn't want people to remember her for her face only.

"I appreciate it, pero minsan feeling ko, yun ang nakikita, e, I don't want it to be like that. I don't want them to remember me, because I'm pretty," she told Boy.

As for Liza, she wants to be recognized for her confidence and courage to take new roles in her career.
