DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Last Saturday, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte (photo) wished the country’s longest-running noontime variety show Eat, Bulaga! “a thousand more years” of bringing joy to its millions of viewers all over the country and even abroad.
“I would like to greet the men and women all these years who are responsible for the program Eat, Bulaga!,” the President said in a video clip greeting those behind the show, mainly hosted by Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and Sen. Tito Sotto and a number of other co-hosts.
The President also cited the staying power of Eat, Bulaga!, which in spite of countless competitions from other networks, it has remained being aired in its timeslot.
“It has its staying power and I pray to God that Eat, Bulaga! would continue to exist for a thousand years. Congratulations and happy anniversary,” the President said.
