MANILA, Philippines – A film will be transformed into a mini-series.

Director Erik Matti’s film “On the Job” will turn into a mini-series and will be streamed by HOOQ.

According to Matti, the miniseries will focus on the story of “a protagonist that is not necessarily good. But there's a bigger evil above them and you start rooting for the bad guy.”

They will be working with the same team, including his screenwriter Michiko Yamamoto.

However, the team chose to keep mum about the stars of the series, which will be announced later.

Originally, the film “On the Job” stars Gerald Anderson, Piolo Pascual and Joel Torre.

It was nominated for Director’s Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, and won Jury’s Choice Award from the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in South Korea. It also won several awards here in the country from FAMAS, Gawad Urian and Golden Screen Awards.
