MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED 4:12 p.m.) – Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are in hot water after photos with their ballots circulated in social media on Monday.

The photos, which their network ABS-CBN posted, already reached Commission on Elections (Comelec) spokesperson James Jimenez.

Jimenez said in microblogging site Twitter that he wants to have a dialog with the showbiz couple.

"For those who willingly and obviously, very openly displayed their ballot, we need to talk," Jimenez said in an interview with Philstar.com.

According to Comelec rules, taking photos or "selfies" with ballots are not allowed.

Despit the spokesperson's opinion, Comelec Commission Rowena Guanzon said she sees no violation yet committed in taking the photos of the popular love team holding their ballots.

"Parang wala naman, parang wala namang shade ‘yon," Guanzon said.

She said the poll body will look closely into the matter, but as of the moment, Kathyn and Daniel did not seem to have step outside the bounds as the photos were not taken by them.
