The Mike Bon Gang releases self-titled album

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The Mike Bon Gang has released its self-titled album — a collection of 10 original pop-rock songs about love and relationships. The album is released under GMA Records. A mini-concert and party was held at Jill’s at The Fort Strip to launch the CD as well as the music video of the single Umaasa Pa Rin, the theme song of the Tagalized version of the Koreanovela Reply 1997.

The Mike Bon Gang is a three-piece band led by Mike Bon, guitarist and lead vocalist. Mike is joined by Jonathan Catacutan on bass and vocals, and Cholo Escano on drums and vocals.

Mike, Jonathan and Cholo, long-time friends and former bandmates, got together in 2012 to do a one-time show as the front act for the Hotdog band. The trio had so much fun at that event that they decided to stick together and see where their musical journey would take them. And so The Mike Bon Gang was born.

Since then, the band has been rocking venues all over Metro Manila. The Mike Bon Gang was also among the featured performers at the Icons of Pinoy Rock concert last June 6 at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The album is available for digital download on Amazon and iTunes, for streaming on Guvera, Deezer, Spotify and Apple Music.  The CDs are available at the top outlets in the country and on Lazada website.
