Matteo Guidicelli says Sarah made triathlon race his 'best finish'

MANILA, Philippines – Matteo Guidicelli said he had the “best finish” in his recent triathlon because of girlfriend Sarah Geronimo.

Over the weekend, photos of Sarah hugging Matteo at the finish line of the Iron Man triathlon race went viral.

“She promised that she’s going and she fulfilled her promise,” Matteo replied when asked about Sarah presence in the triathlon, in an interview in “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” on Tuesday.

“That’s why I said I didn’t prepare for this race, it was one of my worse races, but my best finish,” he added.

According to reports, Sarah missed Matteo’s competition last year, so she promised to be there on his next competition.

Matteo is now back to work as he shoot for his upcoming TV series “Single, Single.” This is Cinema One’s first ever TV series.

“It’s very fresh kasi it’s directed by direct Pepe Diokno, an award-wining indie director,” he said about the series. “So his take on the whole cinematography on the whole miniseries is very, very new, very, very fresh, the texture of the whole thing is very new.”

“Single, Single” also stars Shaina Magdayao and Cheri Gil. It will air for thirteen weeks starting August 29, 8 p.m. on Cinema One.
