More fun: Wowowin back-to-back with Sunday PINASaya

Good news for followers of Willie Revillame: His show Wowowin will still be aired tomorrow, Aug. 2, on the 3:30-4:30 p.m. timeslot on GMA.

But starting next Sunday, Aug. 9, when Sunday PINASaya premieres also on GMA from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Wowowin will air an hour earlier, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. right after PINASaya.

Funfare sources said that GMA bosses didn’t want to let go of Wowowin because it has a large following and is attracting new followers because of Willie’s generous way with cash prizes in the various games. Its current timeslot is a “dead” one and advertisers have been holding back.

A blocktimer, Willie admitted that the show was losing as much as P8 million per airing (more than P20M since it resumed airing last May). Its new timeslot starting Aug. 9 is deemed “promising” for advertisers.
