Puerto Rico's Valerie Hernandez crowned Ms International 2014
TOKYO, Japan - Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss International 2014 on Tuesday the at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan.
During the question and answer portion, the candidates were asked what would be their message to the world if they will be crowned Miss International 2014.
Hernandez answered, “thinking about Miss International title, I think it's not just crown, it's not just the title, it's one of the hardest responsibility. As Miss International, I want to send a message of love, peace, and unity. ”
Zuleika Suárez of Colombia was the 1st runner-up, Punika Kulsoontornrut of Thailand was 2nd runner-up, Victoria Tooby of United Kingdom 3rd runner-up, and Milla Romppanen of Finland was 4th runner-up.
Meanwhile, other special awards given at the pageant are Best National Costume to Ms. Indonesia; Miss Friendship to Ms. Columbia; Miss Internet Beauty to Ms. India; Miss Perfect Body to Ms. France and Miss Best Dresser to Ms. Colombia.
