Lou marks B-day at Freedom Island
MANILA, Philippines - Lou Bonnevie (photo) will celebrate her birthday in a most unique fashion with a tree planting and coastal clean-up activity-cum-sunset acoustic jam. It will be on Oct. 11 at the Freedom Island in LLPPCHEA (Las Piñas Parañaque Critical Habitat Eco Tourism Area). Dubbed Tara Na Sa Freedom Islands!, Tara Na Sa LLPPCHEA, the activity will start at 1 p.m. and will feature a “green forum,” island tour with organic meals. The sunset music jam will be capped off the activity with a stripped down acoustic set performance from the birthday girl and friends from True Faith, Alamid and other surprise guests. The event is being initiated by Earthday Jam Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with DENR-NCR and is supported by Sipag Villar Foundation, PLDT Home Telpad, Holcim Philippines, Ayala Land, Inc., Bright Maritime Corporation, Granne Creatives, Exabuilt Consructions, Divina Law, WDS, Model Shop and Cravings Group. It will be participated in by various non-government organizations, student organizations, artists for the environment and environment advocates.
Lou as founder and president of Earthday Jam Foundation has been actively performing and producing music for advocacy events. Apart from the long-running and widely-popular Earthday Jam, she has appeared in The World Water Day and CC Tunes: Climate Change Concert and has released on YouTube an environmental song Halina, Sama sama Tayo.
