ABS-CBN’s newest offerings

KAPAMILYA DAY - Kane Errol Choa - The Philippine Star

ABS-CBN is going all out for the remaining part of 2014 with its new offerings, which were presented during the network’s trade concert held recently.

A deviation from its previous trade events for advertisers, the trade concert titled Kapamilya: All Out treated guests to a full concert experience featuring performances from ABS-CBN’s brightest stars.

Viewers can look forward to Forevermore, the first TV project of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil that will follow the story of a rich teenage boy (Enrique) who falls in love with a strawberry farm girl (Liza).

Created by the team behind Got to Believe and Princess and I, the soap promises to make viewers feel what it’s like “to fall in love for the very first time.” At the event, Liza and Enrique showed their chemistry with a sizzling dance number.

Fresh from their stint inside the famous Pinoy Big Brother (PBB)  house, PBB All In third big placer Jane Oineza and ex-housemates Lisa Andalio and Joshua Garcia are set to star in a family drama titled Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita. Created by award-winning writer Ricky Lee, it centers around a girl’s search for her father and will also feature Vina Morales, Denise Laurel, Christian Vasquez and Marco Gumabao.

ABS-CBN also showed the teaser for its newest primetime series Nathaniel, which was introduced in a video by stars Gerald Anderson and Shaina Magdayao.

Returning to ABS-CBN is the hit singing-reality competition The Voice of the Philippines, whose second season will air later this year. The much-anticipated season will introduce the “steal” that will allow coaches to steal artists from each other’s teams.

As if to show what the new season has in store for its viewers, coaches Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo ruled the event stage with upbeat song numbers, and The Voice Kids artists Lyca Gairanod, Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo and Darlene Vibares engaged in a hair-raising showdown with Jed Madela, Morissette Amon and Richard Poon.

Meanwhile, it was also announced that Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo will headline her own Wansapanataym special.

Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo capped off the trade concert by promoting ABS-CBN’s new realiserye for couples, I Do, while Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon stars Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino did a duet.

Drawing loud cheers from the advertisers was PBB All In winner Daniel Matsunaga, who shared the limelight with the other ex-housemates.

The crowd at the event, meanwhile, let out a “whoa” when KC Concepcion, who currently appears as Natalia in Ikaw Lamang, emerged in a sexy outfit for her performance.

Toni Gonzaga, Rico Blanco, Hawak Kamay’s Iza Calzado and Nikki Gil, Pure Love’s Alex Gonzaga, Joseph Marco, Arjo Atayde, Matt Evans, Arron Villaflor and Yen Santos, and Be Careful With My Heart’s Janella Salvador and Marlo Mortel also performed.
