Nadine Lustre won't 'assume' if James Reid likes her

MANILA, Philippines- Nadine Lustre doesn't want to “assume”  anything about her  and James Reid.

Nadine and James were paired in the film “Diary ng Panget,” and people have noticed their closeness since then.

“I don't know...” Nadine replied, laughing in an interview on Wednesday when asked if James is courting her. “I don't like to give an opinion kasi baka mali ako. Ayoko magkamali, ayoko mag-assume.”

Pressed if James isn't giving feelers about his intentions she  replied, “I feel it, I know it's there, pero as much as possible I don't want [to assume].” 

She added that “James naman po is a very straightforward person, e. Like kung anong nasa utak niya, sinasabi niya. So kung mayro'n man siyang gustong sabihin, I think sasabihin niya kaagad. But I don't know, baka naman paliguy-ligoy din siya, I don't know.”

For now, however, Nadine is not keen on being in relationship, especially after she almost gave up on her career but is given another chance.

“There was a time when I almost gave up my career, parang ayoko na, I just want to study and just not be in showbiz,” she related. “But Boss Vic [del Rosario] said, 'no, I have a project for you.'”

The “project” that Boss Vic was talking about then is the film “Diary ng Panget,” which paved way for the revival of Nadine's career.

Nadine is also set to release her debut self-titled album, which include  songs that reflect her bubbly personality.

“I am so happy that I chose to be patient.”
