Marian Rivera on online bashers: 'Malungkot ang buhay nila'

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines - “Alam mo, yung mga taong nangba-bash, ibig sabihin niyan malungkot ang buhay nila.”

Thus said Marian Rivera when asked of her opinion on bashers on social media during the press conference for FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Women victory party on Saturday, July 5.

The topic of bashers came about when a member of the entertainment press asked Marian about Vilma Santos' recent bout with bashers on the mobile photo sharing service Instagram.

Marian said she sent a text message to Vilma to express her support for the veteran actress-politician amid the online bashing.

Kaya niya yun,” the GMA-7 talent said.

'Block lang nang block'

Marian said she is now immune to online bashers but feels pity for her fellow celebrities who are under fire on social media.

So, what the point para patulan mo sila?” she explained.

Marian added.

The 29-year-old actress simply shrugs off those who choose to bash her on her Instagram account, the only social media account she maintains.

Marian attended the FHM 100 Sexiest Women victory party press conference as the local magazine's Sexiest Woman in the World, besting other favorites such as Sam Pinto, Angel Locsin, Jennylyn Mercado, and Cristine Reyes.

Solenn Heussaff, Alice Dixson, Ellen Adarna, Anne Curtis, and Jinri Park complete the top 10 of FHM Philippines' Sexiest Women of the World list.

“Ang saya sa pakiramdam kasi ang sarap na binibigay sa iyo ng wala kang inaasahan,” Marian said on claiming the title for the third time.

The complete line-up of FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Woman in the World is available as a supplement with the magazine's July issue.
