The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Korina Sanchez, Ricky Reyes (photo) and former Ilocos Sur Gov. Chavit Singson cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the recently-held 2014 Hair and Make-Up Trends Competition at the Metrowalk Tent.

More than 200 hairdressers and cosmetologists from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao tried to outdo one another to bring home the title in the Hair Cut and Dry, Evening Make-Up and Bridal Make-Up categories.

Regional competitions were held nationwide and the winners with their models came to the Fil-Hair HMUT 2014, showing their artistry and mastery. Judges came from the Asia Pacific Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association member nations such as Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Malaysia and Sri Lanka

Fil-Hair honored Philippine Ambassador of Fashion Renee Salud, international awardee Frederick Peralta and Prince of Beats Amir Sali for their contribution to the fashion world.

Watch GMA News TV’s Gandang Ricky Reyes Todo Na Toh (GRR TNT) on Saturday at 9 a.m for the blow-by-blow account of Hair and Make-Up Trends 2014 finals. GRR TNT is produced by ScriptoVision.
