Luis on settling down with gf Angel: ' I'm a bit readier'

MANILA, Philippines- Luis Manzano says his relationship with girlfriend Angel Locsin has no similarity with her teleserye.

Angel is one of the lead stars of ABS-CBN's primetime drama series “The Legal Wife,” where she plays the role of Monica, a woman who's husband had an affair with her bestfriend.

“Hindi naman,” was Luis' quick reply in a recent interview, when asked if he feels Angel is suspicious of him.

He said Angel even asks for his opinion when she goes over her script.

"She was going over her script sabi niya sa akin, 'Ikaw ba kung maglalagay ako ng tracker sa phone mo magagalit ka?' Sabi ko, hindi kasi bibili ako ng bagong phone,” he joked.

Then he continued, “hindi sabi ko, 'kapag nilagyan mo without you telling me siyempre maiinis ako,' then sabi niya, 'sa bagay gawin mo sa akin 'yon maiinis ako.' So di ba, she consults me on what a regular guy would do.”

Luis was  also asked if he would ever be tempted to be unfaithful to Angel.

“Nagbago na ko, e,” he said with confidence. “I was never a perfect boyfriend and I'll never be. But I've learned from my mistakes in the past. Ayoko na rin lokohin ang sarili ko, e.”

The  host of “The Voice Kids” also added that he has nothing to hide in case Angel decides to monitor all his actions.

“Siguro dati matatakot ako,” he admits with a laugh. “Pero ngayon na maayos-ayos na, I know what I want in life, hindi na, okay na ko.”

With his relationship with Angel seeming to be getting serious, does this mean he has plans of settling down soon?

“Yes, I'm a bit readier,” Luis replied. “Pero kumbga there are still things that I want to do on my own as Luis Manzano before settling down."

Still, he could not say if he's going to propose this year.

"May mga nangyayari kasi bigla, e, na nauusod 'yong timetable," he said. â€œSo let's just wait and see. Kasi very unpredictable ang showbiz, minsan may dadating na project na ganyan. So I'm waiting for something stable when it comes sa timetable. Kasi mamaya magplano ako tapos biglang hindi pala [puwede].”
