Will Luis be the next one to walk down the aisle?

So what kind of wedding will it be for Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin now that they have reconciled and screaming to the whole world about it (hinting at tying the knot)? Proclaimed Luis on Buzz ng Bayan last Sunday, referring to Angel (who was the first to break the news three weeks earlier), “I’m proudly her boyfriend!”

Luis acted as one of the groomsmen at the garden wedding of his good friend and veritable brother Ranvel Rufino (34, son of A-List talent manager June Torrejon-Rufino, who is Viva SVP/EO for Broadcast & Film) and Bianca Lorenzo, 32, at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus Chapel at the Pico de Loro in Nasugbu, Batangas, last Feb. 8, and he was noticed to be, uhm, “misty-eyed.”

“As I watched Ranvels and Iyas march down the aisle,” Luis told Funfare, “I was kind of torn what kind of wedding would mine be, an outdoor wedding or a church wedding?” adding, “I’m happy for Ranvels and Iyas. Finally, all aspects of his life have fallen into place.”

As to when his own wedding would be, Luis was not sure.

“Let’s wait and see,” was all he could say.

Ranvel, a private/wealth banker, and Luis, 32, are like brothers. June is a close friend of Luis’ parents, Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos and Edu Manzano (whom June manages along with Luis; Vilma and Edu were among the principal sponsors).

“I was born two years before Luis, so Tita Vilma considers me her eldest child,” said Ranvel who went steady with Bianca (a former flight attendant, nurse and entrepreneur) for 11 years before they decided to get married.

“I proposed to her four times,” confessed Ranvel (who graduated from La Salle). “Three times hindi natuloy because Bianca would catch me with another girl. But now,” Ranvel vowed (cross his heart!!!), “I’m a changed man. Faithful na ako.”

Asked what he likes most about Bianca, Ranvel said, “The way she treats my mom whom she loves so much. I’m a Mama’s Boy, you know.”

Ranvel’s son 12-year-old Raoul Ernesto (from a past relationship) served as Best Man at the wedding, and his and Bianca’s four-year-old son Rocket Thomas as ring bearer.

Listed on the invitation was Ranvel’s late father, Randy Rufino, and Bianca’s grandmother Alicia A. Lim (unable to attend due to an illness), mom Cynthia Lim-Lorenzo and dad Kim Julius V. Lorenzo (also not present; couldn’t come home from the US where he’s based).

The wedding was star-studded, with showbiz celebs as sponsors, including (aside from Luis and his parents) Vicente del Rosario Jr., Boy Abunda, Wenn Deramas, Deo Endrinal, Mother Lily Monteverde, Marichu “Manay Ichu” Maceda, Cory Vidanes, Tina Revilla-Valencia, Redgie Acuña-Magno and Ormoc Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez, principal sponsors; Derek Ramsay,  groomsman; Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, Anne Curtis-Smith and Pia Guanio-Mago, secondary sponsors.

The singers during the nuptial Mass were Robert Seña and wife Isay Alvarez, Bimbo Cerrudo, Kitchie Nadal, Mass Appeal and Erica Reyes; and during the reception, Rico Blanco, Itchyworms and Isis band.

The hosts during the reception were the Boys Night Out guys Tony Toni, Slick Rick and Sam YG.
