KC donates P5M; Angel auctions luxury car for 'Yolanda' victims

MANILA, Philippines – Like her mother Sharon Cuneta, Kapamilya actress KC Concepcion is extending her help to those hit by the super typhoon Yolanda last week.

During the live telecast of ABS-CBN’s morning show “Kris TV,” host Kris Aquino said KC is donating P5 million for typhoon victims.

Kris said KC would want P3 million to go to the immediate needs of the victims, while the P2 million for “whatever rebuilding will occur” in areas hit by the killer typhoon.

“I salute you, KC, for this act of generosity, na extreme generosity. Nakakabilib talaga. Hindi ikaw ang nagyabang nito, ako ang nagpaabot. And I asked your permission,” Kris said.

Earlier this week, Sharon pledged P5 million each to two foundations, also for typhoon victims.

Meanwhile, Top Gear Philippines claimed that Angel Locsin will be auctioning off her 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.

The actress wanted to remain anonymous, and the motoring website merely gave clues as to the identity of the car donor.

But Top Gear later reported that Angel is the owner of the vintage Chevrolet, based on a photo tweeted by a fan as well as posts on the actress’ official Facebook fan page.

Kris Aquino, Anne Curtis, Dingdong Dantes and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid are among celebrities who also gave donations to typhoon victims.
