2013 Rotary Golden Wheel Award for Kara David

MANILA, Philippines - Kara David (photo) was chosen to be among this year’s recipients of the Rotary Golden Wheel Awards conferred by the Quezon City Government and the Rotary International District 3780.

The award-giving body cited Kara for her “exemplary role in the field of investigative journalism.” Recognized in the international broadcast arena, Kara has won several accolades including the prestigious George Foster Peabody award, the industry’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.

Kara is a news producer for GMA News and a host of GMA’s longest-running documentary program I-Witness. She also co-anchors the morning newscast News To Go and hosts the weekly lifestyle program Powerhouse, which both air on GMA News TV.

The awarding ceremony was held last Oct. 26.
