Aga, Regine reunite in Of All the Things

MANILA, Philippines -  Aga Muhlach and Regine Velasquez are two of the industry’s more established and revered stars for a number of reasons. Both have proven their worth as bankable stars, winning accolades from various award-giving bodies and setting box-office records via their previous outings as a team in Dahil May Isang Ikaw and Pangako… Ikaw Lang, both under Viva Films.

Aga and Regine have accomplished many things in their personal and professional lives.

Aga has reinvented himself as a host on TV5’s Pinoy Explorer and is on his way to carving a new career path in politics as he seeks a congressional seat in the fourth district of CamSur in the 2013 elections.

Regine, on the other hand, is about to celebrate her 25th year in the business with a Silver concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in November even as she, off-cam, juggles her roles as wife to Ogie Alcasid and mom to Nate.

Certainly, these two role models have scored big successes on and off screen and they continue to do more.

They will join forces anew to weave love and magic spell on the big screen via their latest starrer, Viva Films and GMA Films’ romance-comedy, Of All the Things, earmarked for a Sept. 26 release.

The movie, which reunites Aga and Regine with Dahil and Pangako director Bb. Joyce Bernal and scriptwriter Mel del Rosario, will see them as Umboy and Berns, respectively, an odd pair who finds love and romance in the midst of doing many things for themselves.

Umboy is a bar flanker who makes both ends meet by holding office as a notary public. His failure to pass the bar exam makes him lose his drive and, thus, make short-term plans. Berns is a social climbing class-A fixer, who stops at nothing to get her way around politicians and other influential people.

Losers though they may be, Umboy and Berns ultimately find strength, love, acceptance and victory in each other’s arms.

Also in the cast are John “Sweet” Lapus, Tommy Abuel, Pinky Marquez, Gina Pareño, Ariel Ureta, Mark Bautista, Nikki Bacolod and Jay Perillo.
