Hector Reyes: LVN teen star

In the late ’50s and early ’60s, LVN was home to teenage stars like Manding Claro, Nenita Vidal, Lou Salvador Jr., Bernard Bonnin, Luz Valdez, Perla Bautista, Marita Zobel, Chona Sandoval and Hector Reyes.

Lou and Chona were the children of Lou Salvador Sr., who directed Chona’s launching movie, Frankie. Her love interest was Hector.

Lou Jr., Bernard, Luz, Perla and Marita continued acting even when LVN closed shop. Manding and Nenita, then a popular loveteam, Hector and Chona quit showbiz and opted to live quiet lives. — RKC
