WWF unveils limited edition 50th Anniversary Panda shirt

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - As the call to protect the environment and address the impacts of climate change becomes louder, WWF-Philippines invites the public to wear their advocacy on their sleeve and help support the organization’s initiatives to take care of our living planet.

In celebration of the WWF global network’s 50 years of conservation, WWF-Philippines unveils the limited edition 50th Anniversary Panda shirt designed by artist Louie Gordon Lee.

Drawing inspiration from the environment, Lee creates art that inspires, heals and transforms. This depiction of a giant Panda reminds us of the beauty of nature while highlighting the need for ecological awareness and conservation.

“I choose to create art that brings positive and lasting change to those who see it. May this artwork remind us of the beauty of nature, a reason to celebrate and protect,” said Lee.

“When people see my artwork, I want to impart to them a good feeling from the inner soul. The energy from the inside goes out to the artwork. And when people look at my artwork, they can see it, they can sense it,” he added.

Lee also shared that he feels fulfilled because he is part of WWF’s celebration of its 50th year anniversary. “I’m very, very happy contributing to the celebration and for me, art is supposed to be purposeful. It’s in line with what I want to do. My goal in life is to create art for the environment,” the artist concluded.

Each purchase of the limited edition 50th Anniversary shirt for P750 is a pledge that will go to the WWF-Philippines’ conservation and sustainability programs across the country.
