Abra lawmaker gets COVID-19 again

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Abra Rep. Joseph Sto. Niño Bernos appealed to his provincemates and supporters to include him in their prayers after he tested positive for COVID-19 again.

In a post on Facebook, Bernos, who arrived from the United States a week ago, said he has mild symptoms. He said he has been fully vaccinated with a booster shot.

He said he is on home quarantine and isolated from his family members who all tested negative for the virus.

Bernos first contracted the virus in March last year.

Meanwhile, the provincial government of Abra reported that one of those found infected on Tuesday died.
