Erap spends birthday with poor, orphans

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada distributed gift packs to 3,300 residents of the Baseco Compound in Port Area and Delpan in Tondo as he celebrated his 81st birthday yesterday.

Estrada also visited the residents of Isla Puting Bato and gave them packs of goodies.

He proceeded to the Association de Damas de Filipinas where he distributed gift packs and t-shirts to 130 orphans.

The gift packs contained spaghetti sauce, cans of corned beef, fruit cocktail and two kilos of rice.
