More sports casualties
As I write this column, I could not help but be teary eyed. Twenty four school children from Northern Cyprus, died after the hotel where they stayed, collapsed after being hit by a strong earthquake in Adiyaman, Turkey recently. The children aged 11 to 14 were volleyball players from Maarif College who were competing in a tournament there. The casualties also included 10 parents and a trainer who accompanied the team.
