Mojdeh sumisid ng 2nd gold
MANILA, Philippines — Tuloy ang matikas na ratsada ni Brent International School ace tanker Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh nang masiguro nito ang ikalawang ginto sa Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) Swimming Championships na ginaganap sa Seoul Foreign School swiming pool sa Seoul, South Korea.
Muling umariba ang 16-anyos Philippine national junior record holder nang manguna ito sa girls’ 100 butterfly kung saan nagtala ito ng isang minuto at 4.17 segundo.
Pinatumba ni Mojdeh sina silver medalist Andrey Sandeen na may 1:06.55 at bronze medalist Aidon Chow na na may 1:08.00 — na parehong pambato ng Hong Kong International School
Una nang nakasiguro si Mojdeh ng ginto sa girls’ 200m Individual Medley sa bilis na 2:22.05 habang nakasiguro pa ito ng tanso sa girls’ 100m freestyle (1:00.90) at girls’ 200m medley relay kasama sina Kirsten Tan, Jira Hedeager at Natalia Javier.
“I’m just happy winning the gold and the same time improving my personal best in all of my three individual events here in South Korea. It was a great campaign here,” ani Mojdeh na semifinalist sa 2022 FINA World Juniors Championships sa Lima, Peru.
Nakasiguro pa si Tan ng tansong medalya sa girls’ 50 backstroke matapos magsumite ng 33.73 segundo.
Napasakamay ni Jenny Ra ng Chadwick International Varsity (CIV) ang ginto bunsod ng nailagak nitong 32.44 segundo habang pumangalawa si Anges Yu ng HKIS na ay 33.00 segundo.
Nagdagdag din ng tansong medalya sina Ethan Waskiewicz , Connor Hodges, Yuan Wang at Ethan Hodges sa boys’ 200m freestyle relay.
Umiskor ang Brent quartet ng isang minuto at 47.90 segundo sapat para masiguro ang podium finish.
Nanguna ang Seoul Foreign High School bets na sina Alex Yeum, Dohyun Kim, Chirstian Lee at Daniel Lee na may 1:45.24 kasunod sa ikalawa ang CIV tankers na sina Ian Park, Kyle Chung, Justin Jin at Jude Kim na ay 1:45.62.
“We want them to enjoy the moment, meet new friends and learn the culture of this country and their foreign counterparts because this is what this sport is all about. Building character and learning new things,” ani Swim League Philippines chairman Joan Mojdeh.
