Punisher, Pfizer drub foes in Hoops Arlon Cup

CEBU, Philippines —  Teams Punisher and Pfizer rolled past separate rivals in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 over the weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Gerald Baculi showed the way as Pfizer downed KJK Reino, 75-66.

Baculi finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks for Pfizer, which now holds a 4-3 win-loss record.

JR Manzanares tallied 20 markers but to no avail as KJK Reino suffered its fourth loss against only two victories.

In the other game, the Punisher whipped I.28 Realty, 69-59.

Julius Maraon Vidal knocked in five 3-pointers of his 20 points to help the Punisher notched its only third win in eight games.

James Harold Truz had 15 points and 14 rebounds but his double-double effort proved futile as I.28 Realty dropped to 4-5.

Organized by Hoop Nation founder and commissioner Adrian Dy, the league’s inaugural season is supported by TUF Barbershop I.T. Park, First 5 Sports Lounge & Cafe, Boulevard Water Depot, The Trillium Residences At Molave, Ronex Tolin Photography, and Prism Live. — EBV
