Team AEG rebounds, vents ire on Punisherin Hoops Arlon Cup
CEBU, Philippines — Team AEG readily bounced back from their stunning loss to the Cougars and vented their ire on the Punisher, 79-70, in Hoop Nation’s Arlon Cup Season 1 over the weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Justin Aspacio made all his 18 points from beyond the arc as AEG tallied its fifth win against a solitary loss.
On the other hand, the Prayboys, Gonzalodo Entreprises and Trojan Warriors trounced their respective rivals to improve their records to 4-2.
Kenny Genobia dropped 20 points as the Prayboys bested RKC, 65-59, while Matthew Grafilo unloaded 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists to power Gonzalodo Enterprises past Manumen, 74-69.
Not to be outdone, Ronn Ong hit four 3-pointers of his 14 points as the Trojan Warriors grinded through a close 81-79 victory over the Broncos.
In the other results, Jherjacz Romeo Jaca collected 25 points as the 5 Joints silenced the Wolves, 74-71, Miles Tongco charted 23 points on top of three rebounds and three assists in Dextructures’ 78-72 triumph over Clutch City, while Rholex Sampan came up with a solid double-double show of 14 points and 15 rebounds laced with three assists as Tera upended the Cougars, 67-63.
