Plania easily dismantles foe

CEBU, Philippines —  Mike “Magic” Plania of the General Santos City-based Sanman Gym hardly broke a sweat in scoring a first round knockout of Ricardo Nuñez of Panama in the season finale of “Got Talent XVI” boxing series on Saturday night (Sunday morning, Phl time) at the Manual Artime Community Center Theater in Miami, Florida.

Plania, thus, improved his record to 26-1 now spiked with 13KOs. Nunez lost for the seventh time in a row and dropped to 29-12 with 23KOs.

Plania, 24, is the reigning IBF North American super bantamweight champion. His only defeat came at the hands of Juan Carlos Payano of Dominican Republic during their WBO Intercontinental bantamweight title bout in 2018. — EBV
