La Sugbo gymnasts sparkle in Mexico online tournament
CEBU, Philippines — Leanne Marie Manning and Reyanne Corvera shared the limelight as the Ritmik Jimnastiks La Sugbo of coach Darlene de la Pisa sizzled with 14 gold, 17 silver, and three bronze medals in the Club Heymo International Friendship Cup, an online gymnastics tournament hosted by Mexico last February 18-22.
Manning and Corvera minted three gilts each. Manning topped the ball, clubs and ribbon events under the Junior Level 4 category while Corvera came up with a golden treble in the same events of the Senior Level 4 division.
On the other hand, Jaiannah Margeaux Viros produced two golds in freehand and ball of the Pre Child class.
The others who delivered golden performances for La Sugbo were Mary Sofiel Nicart (rope, Child Level 3), Noem Drexel Krixie Guades (freehand, Pre Junior Level 4) and Colynne Marie Aguilar (ball, Pre Junior Level 4), Leann Mae Lubang (clubs, Junior Level 4), Elisha Nicole Sorreno (ribbon, Junior Level 4), and Hannah May Subreviga (clubs, Senior Level).
The rest of medal contributors for La Sugbo were Shanese Danielle Sorreno, Daniella Myrn de la Pisa, Dominique Rylen Labides, Verma Jean Nicole Ambid, and Jholan Calope.
La Sugbo’s young but promising bets embark on a new challenge as they compete in the four-day MK and Coach Ris Joy Leeping’s 1st Rhythmic Gymnastics International Competition, which started yesterday.---EBV
