STC booters sizzle in 7th Titans Cup
CEBU, Philippines — The youthful booters of St. Theresa’s College had their hands full after taking away a champion’s trophy and a runner-up finish in the just concluded 7th Titans Football Cup at PAREF-Springdale School field in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
STC bagged the mixed under-10 division crown and placed second in the mixed 8.
STC edged the more favored KN Ferraren, 1-0, in the under 10 final.
The University of San Jose-Recoletos took the bronze after defeating host PAREF-Springdale School, 1-0, via shootout.
USJ-R and PAREF-Springdale figured in a 2-all draw during the regulation period resulting into the shootout.
STC, however, failed to pull off a golden double after it bowed to Einstein FC, 0-1, in the mixed 8 final.
Look FC downed PAREF-Springdale, 2-1, to settle for bronze.
On the other hand, Sherilin FC claimed the boys 12 title after trouncing Sheba FC, 3-0.
Look FC got the bronze with a 2-1 victory over Zapatera.
