Cebu’s top karter: William Go shines in ROK Cup Singapore
CEBU, Philippines — Multi-titled Cebuano go-kart racer William Go kept his winning ways to reign supreme in the ROK Cup Singapore 2019 at the KF1 Karting Circuit in Singapore last Sunday.
Going into the fifth and final leg, Go was already the virtual champion in the mini ROK division for posting a comfortable margin after four legs.
Still, Go gave his all on the way to snare the leg 5 crown and end the series with a bang.
In the final run, Go of AutoInc Racing clocked in a total of 16 minutes and 41.801 seconds in the 16-lap action.
Cui Yuan Pu finished with a time of 16:43.223 followed by Dillan Tan in 16:59.147.
It was Go’s second overall crown this year. He earlier ruled the SIC IAME Series Asia 2019 at the Sepang Kart Circuit in Malaysia last September.
Go sets his sights next on a rare three overall crowns when the Asian Karting Open Championships (AKOC) revs up its final round in Macau next month.
