Adraincem, Udal led winners in Smash and Serve Series 3
CEBU, Philippines — The tandem of Carlo Adraincem and John Philip Udal claimed back-to-back titles in level F of the Smash and Serve Badminton Doubles Event Series 3 at Racquetzone in Montebello Hotel.
Adraincem and Udal escaped past Jemil Arenas and Orlanie Lozano, 31- 28, in their straight 31 championship match to successfuly defend their crown.
Emmanuel Orongan and Carlo Jay Menchavez, on the other hand, ruled level G after defeating Christopher Esconal and Arman Baltazar, 31-24.
Raycien Credo Caberte and Jewel Villaflores, for their part, pulled off a lopsided 31-17 win against Jayfe Anthony Abrea and Anne Michelle Ramirez to lord it over level H.
The likes of Kenny John Cortes and Bryan Acop got the bronze in level F, Hiroyuki Kinoshita and Halinor Sultan in level G, and Renie Sagolili and Zenny Mellorida in level H.
More than grabbing medals, the winners and the rest of the participants and organizers considered their third series another smashing success as they saved more funds for the benefit of Tapul National High School.
So far, the Smash and Serve group led by Engr. Joseph Jipos has already generated P36,000 to fund their community outreach program in Tapul. (FREEMAN)
