Over Limit tops Asia Pacific Jiu-Jitsu Championship
CEBU, Philippines — Over Limit Jiu-jitsu Association clinched the overall championship in the Asia Pacific Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2019 at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu, last weekend.
Over Limit bagged three of the four team championship titles after the two-day tournament that was participated by grapplers coming from all around the world.
Over Limit of Professor Edison Kagohara, a jiu-jitsu blackbelt, dominated the Masters event with 143 points, while Atos Philippines is at far second with 61 points as Deftac Ribeiro wound up third. They also ruled the Adults event with 110 points followed by Atos and Deftac with 58 and 40 points, respectively.
The young Jiu-Jitsu fighters of Over Limit also reigned supreme in the Kids action with 91 points, while Pato Studio settled for second.
Atos Philippines denied Over Limit a sweep after winning the No Gi event with 104 points, while the latter got 61 points. Kamphuis Fabricio BJJ landed third with 53 points.
After the successful staging of the Asia Pacific Championship, the organizing Dumau Philippines is planning another big tournament in Cebu on October.
